4/26 Recap -

STUD OF THE DAY - Miggy Cabrera

No one really stood out yesterday, so I am going to pat my back...Just look at yesterdays Dud post..thats why...Miggy was actually only 1/4, HR, and 2 RBI...but the Tigers got swept by the M's..

DUD OF THE DAY - Eric Hosmer

He was 0/5 yesterday with a K and a GDP...but the Royals still beat the Tribe...Nothing like a trip to Cleveland to get a team back on track...The Angels have been terrible so far, but lucky for them they are in Cleveland this weekend, so that will get Pujols and the gang back on track...

TEAM PICK UPDATE - Berg (Orioles) is now 17-2..unreal..Sunderman you are 11 games back

4/25 Recap -

STUD OF THE DAY - DAVID FREESE

He was 2/4, with a HR and 3 RBI last night as the Cards escape Wrigley with a 1 win in the series.  He is having a heck of a start this season, currently at .334, 4HR, 18RBI...They aren't missing Pujols in St Looey...yet...Freese was picked by 2 people this week

DUD OF THE DAY - MIGUEL CABRERA

0/4 last night as the Tigers lose another game at home to the Mariners..This can only mean he will go off today with a HR and 3 RBI...

TEAM PICK UPDATE - Jeremy Berg is currently 16-2, including 2-0 this week with the Orioles...what an unbelievable start to his season picks....

4/24 Recap -

STUD OF THE DAY - David "Big Papi" Ortiz

He was 2/4, HR, 3RBI, as the Red Sawx crushed the Twins.  Who would have thought that 3 weeks into the season, Papi would be 2nd in the MLB in average at .444...3 players picked Ortiz this week...

DUD OF THE DAY - Albert "El Hombre" Pujols

He was 0-4 last night, as the Angels lost to the Rays, and are now 7.5 games back of the Rangers...Its been a rough start for Al in the AL as he is hitting .232, 0HR, and 4RBI..he will turn it around, but that is an awful long contract he has in LAA...ouch..Rookie Chip Parker was the lone player to pick him this week...

Week 3 Preview

Questions for this week - How long can Staley and Burger stay above .400?  Will anyone reach 10 HR this week?  Will the 7 people without a HR finally get one this week?  Will anyone eclipse 25 RBI on the year this week??  We have some players that are off to blistering starts this year..lets see how week 2 plays out...

Most Popular Pick - Josh Hamilton -7 times.. A lot of people going with the Week 2 Stud...D Wright and Konerko were each picked 6 times...

First Time RTTC Picks - Every major league player knows that they have made it once they have been picked in RTTC - Edwin E5 Encarnacion, Rafael El Enano (The Dwarf) Fural, and AJ (I am a D!ck) Pierzynski were all added to the board for the 1st time this week...

Most Popular Team Pick - The Cardinals...They were picked by 9 people and 9 people were pissed last night as the Cubbies walked off on them in the 9th...The Blue Jays were picked 8 times, and the Tribe 5 times...

The Mets, Orioles, and Red Sox were picked for the first time this week...

Looks like we will have some separation at the top of the team standings this week, as the 3 leaders at 14-2 all picked different teams...they can't possibly keep that pace up...

4/23 STUD OF THE DAY - The Kung Fu Panda, Pablo Sandoval - 2/4, HR, RBI
4/23 DUD OF THE DAY - Mark Tex Message Teixeira - 0/4, K, GDP

Week 2 Recap

Its been a pretty hectic week, trying to get used to this whole dad thing..now I am back into my usual routine (Yea, I am aware my routine's are screwed forever now...speaking of new dad, RTTCer Shawn Sunderman is one as well, having a girl on Friday..congrats AF Sunderman...)  on to the baseball....here we go..

STUD OF THE WEEK - JAY SCHMIDT
The rookie gets on the board early by going with Josh Hamilton...JHAM was 12/26 this week with 3 HR, and 11 RBI...good for 26 pts...Just one week ago he was the 1st DUD of the week...look at him now...He had more HRs this week than hits in his first week (and that was an extra long week at that)  He is regretting his first week pick, but I am sure he is fine having earned his fee back after only 2 weeks..Congrats on your $60 Jay...(first late pick casualty of the year goes Chip Parker...who turned in his Hamilton pick, but well past the 11AM deadline, therefore unable to share in the $60..live and learn)

DUD OF THE WEEK - ERIC KRAUSS
Bad luck and just plain bad pick...I went with J Upton for the week and he was 1-10...He injured his thumb on Monday and sat out 4 games this week...the dreaded Monday injury is the worst in RTTC...Speaking of bad luck and the D-Backs...there were a bunch of Chris Young picks and although he had a great start to the week (4/6, with a bomb)..he banged up his shoulder on Tuesday night and is on the DL now...It is a long season, but early week injuries take their toll in the end...

TEAM STUD OF THE WEEK - NATIONALS AND RANGERS
Both went 5-1...Rangers not surprising...Nationals, more so

TEAM DUD OF THE WEEK - DBACKS
They are pretty banged up right now and went 2-5..there were a bunch of DBACK picks last week too
Overall, it was a well picked week...of the 16 teams picked..only 2 had losing weeks (DBACKS, and ANGELS)...
