6/20 RECAP - B.O. Edition

STUDS OF THE DAY - Ryan Braun, David Ortiz

Both guys had a total of 6pts, that included a HR...6 guys picked Braun this week...3 picked Papi..

Braun is having a huge year and will be in the running for NL MVP again...(if any writers will vote for him again)  Triple Crown is very possible as well..

Braun 2012 League Ranks:

• 8th in NL in BA (.321)

• 1st in NL in HR (20)

• 2nd in NL in RBI (51)

Papi is having a great year as well...for some reason it seems very quiet to me, as I havent heard much about him...Sox being in last is probably 1 reason...He had a grandy last night...From Elias: David Ortiz's grand slam on Wednesday night was the 10th of his career at Fenway Park -- nine for the Red Sox and one for the Twins. (His lone road grand slam for Boston was against Tampa Bay in 2006.) Only two other players have hit at least 10 grand slams at one venue: Lou Gehrig had 11 at Yankee Stadium and Willie McCovey had 11 at Candlestick Park.

Papi 2012 League Ranks:

• 6th in AL in BA (.313)

• 6th in AL in HR (18)

• 5th in AL in RBI (49)

Stout and Willie both went with Braun who had a heck of a week...He was 10/28 with 4HRs and 7 RBIs (21PTS) (Midura picked Braun as well, but was late, so was not eligible) Its the 1st SOTW for both Stout and Williamson and the 2nd time this year Braun has been the top pick...They are both in the middle of the pack in all categories, except Stout is in the top 10 in BA....They share the $60..Congrats

DUD OF THE WEEK - Josh Biederstedt, Pennington, Schmidt

These guys went with Goldschmidt or Napoli this week...either way only had 1 hit (1PT) This is Bieders 3rd DOTW, Schmidt's 2nd DOTW and Pennington's 1st....Of all 3, thus far, Schmidt has the best shot in RBIs and is currently in 16th place there...Not a good debut week for Napoli on the RTTC board...
