6/6 Recap - Golden Edition

STUD OF THE DAY - Paul Goldschmidt

He was 3/4, HR, 3 RBIs (7PTS) - Greg Leonard had the only pick for Goldy this week...Goldy is heating up...He has a tendency to hit HRs in bunches...He has 3 HRs and 5 RBIs in his last 7 games while hitting .450...He is the same dude that had 30 HRs last year in the Minors....before August even started..

From Elias: Paul Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and three RBIs to help lead the Diamondbacks to a 6-1 win over Colorado. Goldschmidt now has 15 extra base hits in 62 at bats over his last 17 games after having only eight extra base hits in 101 at bats in his first 31 games of the season.

6/5 Recap - A JV Night

STUD OF THE DAY - Joey Votto

No one had a huge night in the RTTC world...from my very unofficial and quick look, the top player of the night was Joey Votto, who had 2 hits and 2 RBIs (4pts)  He was picked by 4 players this week...In his last 7 games Votto is video game like 10/15 (.667)  His HR numbers aren't high yet, but he dominates in everything else...

Week 8 Results - Hot In Denver Edition

STUDs OF THE WEEK - Kyle Krauss, Tim Krauss, Mathews, Riether, Brink, Curlis, Hodges

They all picked Carlos Gonzalez this week, who went off for 28 PTS... 15/30 (1 hit away from the RTTC record) 4 HR 9 RBIs...The next highest RTTC pick was Trumbo, who only had 19 pts..so these 7 gained considerably on the rest of the league this week...This is Mathews and Brink's 2nd SOTW of the year...Also the 2nd Time CarGo has been the SOTW...Tim Krauss is now atop the league in BA at .356, where there are 4 others within a 2 pts of him...T Krauss and Curlis are both in the top 10 now in HRs...T Krauss, Mathews, and Hodges are all in the top 10 in RBIs now...Congrats on splitting the $60...

DUDs OF THE WEEK - Josh Biederstedt, Bindel, Staley

They all picked Konerko last week and paid for it...He only had 2 hits in 20 ABs.. (2 pts)  They hoped he would stay hot after his week 7 SOTW, but did not..he came back down to earth...This was Bieders and Staley's 2nd DOTW...Bindel is having a rough year, and is in the bottom 10 in each of the 3 categories..
