Week 5 Recap - Video Game Edition

Pretty much 20% done...Lets get right to it...

STUD OF THE WEEK - E KRAUSS - SMITH - PRICE

All 3 went with the best pick of their career...Josh Hamilton, who was playing on the easy level video-game like - 14/30 with 9 HRs and 18 RBIs...for a total of 41 pts!  They were 2 off the hit record of 16...broke the HR record by 3, the RBI record by 1 and the Points total by 9...The week puts Smith and Price in the top 10 in BA....and all 3 are in the top 3 in HRs and RBIs...To put this week into perspective...In the 1st 4 weeks of the season, E Krauss had 41 pts, Smith - 43 pts, and Price 46 pts total...Hamilton had 41 this week in 30 ABs...that is 1.36 pts/AB..just dumb..its beyond me how anyone continued to pitch to him after, I dont know, maybe the 5th Homer of the week on Tuesday night...It will be interesting to see if Hamilton can stay healthy this year and make a run at Bonds...Be weary of picking Hamilton this week though..the bat he used all week during this unreal run broke last night, and is headed to Cooperstown...Double Congrats to Price, who had a baby girl last week..Avery...

DUD OF THE WEEK - JOSH BIEDERSTEDT

He went with the rookie, Bryce Harper last week and RTTC treated him like Cole Hamels..rudely...He was 4/26 on the week for 4 pts...He also bloodied his face with a broken bat he shattered in the dugout...that should count as a 5 pt deduction, dummy..Bieder has been reeling since his week 3 SOTW...since then he is 5/44 (.114) with no HRs or RBIs....JB needs a big bounce back week in week 6..

Out of the 5 weeks so far, there have been 3 different players that have garnered both the Stud and Dud of the weeks already...Talk about going big or going home...

Only Schurr went with the Rox, and it didnt go so well.. 1-5 last week...and he finds himself in the cellar after week 5..11 games back of Dave Krauss...

Troy Brooks off to a terribly slow start (he warms up with the weather)...has 40 pts this year...Hamilton put up 41 last week..

Davia, has at least 3 HRs in 4 of the 1st 5 weeks...and find himself in 1st place with 13...

Speaking of Davia, he has 13 HRs and only 21 RBIs..J Berg has 21 RBIs as well, but only 5 HRs...Davia..King of the Solo Homer!
