STUD OF THE DAY - Jose Bautista
He was 2/4, HR, 2 RBIs..(5pts) Here is a familiar name that was on here about twice a week last year...He is starting to heat up...He had 3 HRs in all of April, but now has 7 already in May, and 5 in the last 7 games...Looks like the Jays need him to HR as well...They are 8-1 in games he has gone yard...Pennington and Midura both picked him this week...

5/16 Recap - EE Edition
STUD OF THE DAY - Edwin Encarnacion
3/4, HR, 3RBIs...(7 PTS) Dave Riether was the only player to pick EE this week...It looks like it could be another Blue Jay break out year...(Bautista 2 years ago)...Right now if you used our RTTC "pts" system...Encarnacion would be in 2nd place in all of the the majors with 88pts...tied with Miguel Cabrera and 30 behind Josh Hamilton, haha...He is being very productive and in the line up every day for the Jays... Look for him to be a popular RTTC pick the rest of the year.

Week 6 Preview - Braun, Nationals Edition
Only 21 different players picked this week...
Top 3 picks were Braun - 9, Votto - 8, and Hamilton - 8
1st Time Pick - Allen "The Wrench" Craig , STL - It is kind of surprising that he hasn't been picked yet, but he missed the first few weeks of the year with an injury...He only has 43 ABs on the year, but the only player with a higher OPS this year with at least that many ABs is Josh Hamilton...Thats good company...E Krauss was the only one to pick him this week..(Look at me trying to justify my pick..)
Who to Root Against:
The BA leader, Shipley (.381) picked Ortiz..
The HR leader Davia (13) picked Beltran
The Co HR and RBI leader, Price(13, 35) picked Beltre
18 different teams were picked this week...This week every MLB team has 7 games...very rare...
Top 3 Picks - Washington - 16, Rangers - 8, Tigers - 6
1st place - Dave Krauss (25-11) went with the Rangers this week...
Williamson, and K Krauss currently occupy the last 2 playoff spots at 23-14...

Week 5 Recap - Video Game Edition
Pretty much 20% done...Lets get right to it...
STUD OF THE WEEK - E KRAUSS - SMITH - PRICE
All 3 went with the best pick of their career...Josh Hamilton, who was playing on the easy level video-game like - 14/30 with 9 HRs and 18 RBIs...for a total of 41 pts! They were 2 off the hit record of 16...broke the HR record by 3, the RBI record by 1 and the Points total by 9...The week puts Smith and Price in the top 10 in BA....and all 3 are in the top 3 in HRs and RBIs...To put this week into perspective...In the 1st 4 weeks of the season, E Krauss had 41 pts, Smith - 43 pts, and Price 46 pts total...Hamilton had 41 this week in 30 ABs...that is 1.36 pts/AB..just dumb..its beyond me how anyone continued to pitch to him after, I dont know, maybe the 5th Homer of the week on Tuesday night...It will be interesting to see if Hamilton can stay healthy this year and make a run at Bonds...Be weary of picking Hamilton this week though..the bat he used all week during this unreal run broke last night, and is headed to Cooperstown...Double Congrats to Price, who had a baby girl last week..Avery...
DUD OF THE WEEK - JOSH BIEDERSTEDT
He went with the rookie, Bryce Harper last week and RTTC treated him like Cole Hamels..rudely...He was 4/26 on the week for 4 pts...He also bloodied his face with a broken bat he shattered in the dugout...that should count as a 5 pt deduction, dummy..Bieder has been reeling since his week 3 SOTW...since then he is 5/44 (.114) with no HRs or RBIs....JB needs a big bounce back week in week 6..
FACT THAT MAY ONLY INTEREST ME
Out of the 5 weeks so far, there have been 3 different players that have garnered both the Stud and Dud of the weeks already...Talk about going big or going home...
TEAM STUD PICK OF THE WEEK - DODGERS
5 players picked the LAD, and were rewarded with a 5-1 week...
TEAM DUD PICK OF THE WEEK - ROCKIES
Only Schurr went with the Rox, and it didnt go so well.. 1-5 last week...and he finds himself in the cellar after week 5..11 games back of Dave Krauss...
FUN WITH NUMBERS
Troy Brooks off to a terribly slow start (he warms up with the weather)...has 40 pts this year...Hamilton put up 41 last week..
Davia, has at least 3 HRs in 4 of the 1st 5 weeks...and find himself in 1st place with 13...
Speaking of Davia, he has 13 HRs and only 21 RBIs..J Berg has 21 RBIs as well, but only 5 HRs...Davia..King of the Solo Homer!
