Week 15 Results

Sorry for the mess up yesterday, the "last 7 days stats" on MLB.com Fantasy for some reason was counting July 14th games twice, very strange...so i guess just a good reminder to always double check what your stats are in case their is a mess up...so the revised week 15 SOTW are...

STUDS OF THE WEEK - Doug Krauss, Derek Meek

Both of these guys get their 1st SOTW of their careers...Markakis was the man for Doug and Hanley Ramirez for Meek as they both pulled in 12 pts in the 4 day week, which would equal 21 pts during a normal week, which sounds about par for the course...Doug is having his best success this year on the BA side of things where he is at .285 and definately capable of making a run there...look for him to start picking all high average guys in the 2nd half...Meek (and his silent "partner" Shipley) are probably having their best success in HRs where they are only 6 back from 3rd place right now....so there is plenty of time climb the board...Congrats on the $25 each....(Google Pic - Double D)

DUDS of the WEEK - Tim Guelde, Kyle Krauss, Krista Krauss

Rough short week for these 3...Tim and Krista went with A Gonzalez who went 1 for 15, and Kyle went with C Pena who also went 1 for 15...Of the 3, Kyle is in the best shape overall being in the top 10 in HRs and RBIs, but any more weeks like this and the SOTWs will be the only way to get some cash...Tim has had a forgettable past month and half as he has 3 Duds in the last 6 weeks, and now finds himself 2nd to last in BA...speaking of slumping bad....Krista has 7 pts in the last 3 weeks!...I think that is karma for talking trash at home to me throughout this whole season...live and learn KJ...

MLB VS RTTC - Where we rank

BA

RTTC - W Rychener - .324
MLB - J Reyes - .354

HR

RTTC - D Rychener - 28
MLB - J Bautista - 31

RBI

RTTC - D Riether - 79

MLB - A Gonzalez - 77

4/12 Recap - Rain Outs, Hamilton Out

Yesterday there were 3 rain outs taking out action, never a good thing when your pick misses at bats, but that means there will be some double-headers down the road for certain teams...Speaking of missing at bats....

The Week 2 I Got Screwed Award goes to....Doug Krauss...I bet he wasn't thinking that Josh Hamilton was going to slide into home head first and break his arm/shoulder (at least wait until Saturday to do that)...and he will miss at least 2 months...the early week injury streak is now at 2....who will be week 3???

Studs of the Day - The Hunter Pence Owners - 3/5, 4 RBIs...nice little 7 pt day there against the lowly Cubs...

8/25 Recap

Pick of the Day - Joey Votto, 4/7, 2 HR, 4 RBIs...Huge game by Votto, and did it during a very crazy game for Cincy vs the Giants...That game featured a 10 run comeback, 23 runs, 34 hits, and 6 errors...The Reds just may get it done this yr...

Doug Krauss was the only man w Votto this week, and he got a quick 10 pts last night for it...he is going for his 1st SOTW award...

Thats #14 for Punches....#21 for Timmy Guelde, and #17 for Doug Krauss...

4/26 POD

Brandon Inge...3/5, 2HR, 3RBIs...First 2 HRs of the year for Inge as the Tig's win at Texas 8-6....Inge has not been picked this year yet...Does Inge look like Colt McCoy at all???

Also, a quick shoutout to Rob Price, Doug Krauss, and Tim Krauss and the birth of their son, grandson and nephew last week...Quintin Price...future RTTCer possibly?

Week 2 Results

STUD OF THE WEEK: Dan Rychener....he went 7-21, 5HR, 8RBI for a total of (20)..no one has has started RTTC this hot ever...Dan already has 9HRs on the year, there are 4 people without 1 still...Congrats to Dan for cashing in for Week 2 with the $25 pot...(GOOGLE PIC - D Rych)

DUDS OF THE WEEK: Leonard, Brooks, Doug Krauss, Prigge, Emmons...all 5 of these guys totalled only 3 hits for the week with 0HRs and RBIs for a total of (3)...Unfortunately for Doug Krauss he has been a DUD for the 2nd straight week and is the only one without a RBI on the year, but on the bright side, he did raise his average 23 points all the way up to .158...

STAT OF THE WEEK: Last year Dan Rychener finished his rookie year with 22HRs....this year thru 2 weeks he already has 9HR! He is on pace to hit 117...

WEEK 1 RESULTS

The 1st week is the books and a veteran and a rookie share the top honors..

STUDS OF THE WEEK...Last year's Batting Average Champ is back at it...Jared Bindel went 9/24 last week with 4HRs and 10RBIs(clutch 2-run HR last night in the 9th by Albert for ya.) And we have a rookie making a splash in his debut week...Andy Brink went 10/20 and had 3HR and 10RBIs...In case you forgot this year the SOW actually means $25 to the winners by adding up the hits HRs, and RBIs...and since they both put up a 23 they each get $12.50 in the credit column...
(To all of the rookies, you are probably curious about the picture above....its a tradition unlike any other in RTTC...I type in something to do with the STUDS in Google Images and see what pops up....so this week it was Brink Jared, which of course is an album by Brink, produced by some Jared guy)

DUDS OF THE WEEK...Joe Kapcar and Doug Krauss both ended the week with only 1 lowsy hit....Joe probably didn't care much becasue he just got engaged last weekend! Congrats Joey... and Doug also has his mind on other things too as his daughter is expecting a child anytime here in the upcoming weeks...These 2 need to get their heads back in the game...

STAT OF THE WEEK...Clark Carroll had 8 RBIs last week, which puts him on pace to get 208 this year(impossible)....the previous 2 years he has 187 total...

WEEK 23 RESULTS

STUDs OF THE WEEK: JODI BIEDERSTEDT, DOUG KRAUSS, RYAN JONES

Not a huge week at all for these 3, but better than the rest in a quiet RTTC week 23. Jodi now has 33HR..can she match her total of 37 last yr?? Doug is at .306, 34, 100...very capable of placing in all 3 cats.....RJ is hanging on by a thread...needs 3 huge RBI weeks to finish in the top 3

Google pic...JDR

DUD OF THE WEEK: BRENT PUNCHES, MIKE MEYER

The 2 guys that are known by their one word names...Punches and Monk, each only had 1 AB this week as Pena got hurt on Monday. There line was 0-1, 0HR, 0RBI, 2 broken fingers...good work guys! Last years MVP, Punches, is not going to be able to defend his crown.

BA...Great Race here...Bindel is at .336, Hernandez is at .335..9 others over .300 fighting for 3rd..

HR..Whittlesey with 40HR now...first to reach that mark in RTTC history, will anyone else join him?

RBI..TKrauss with 127RBI...11 more than 2nd place Whittlesey...but these can be had in a hurry

WEEK 7 RESULTS

STUDS OF THE WEEK: Brent Williamson, Doug/Tim Krauss and Jeremy Whittlesey

.444-5HRS-10RBIS...These guys combined for 20 hrs and 40 rbis this week. These are all rookies that are all over the top of the leaderboards, with Whittlesey leading HRs and RBIs...There is a good chance that the Rookie of the Year will come out of this group of players. (Google Pic-willie, doug, tbag, j whitt)

DUD OF THE WEEK: Mike Meyer

.087-1HR-1RBI...Terrible week for Monk...luckily for him, one of his whopping 2 hits left the park. He better pick up his pace as he is the only player under 20 RBIs with 17.

STAT THAT MAY ONLY AMAZE ME:
Whittlesey .297-43 RBIs
Zorn .297-20 RBIs
