8/4 Recap - 2LO

Stud of the Day - Troy Tulowitzki

Tulo went 3/4, HR and and RBI as the Rox beat the Nats...The 3 hits is just business as usual for the RTTC BA Leader, Chris Mathews...if he can continue to get multi hit games a couple times a week, it may be tough to catch him...So far this week Mathews is 4/12...good for .333, his season avg entering this week - .332

Other HRs

Only other RTTC HR was big Al Pujols, who hit his 25th of the year...he was picked by 3 thre players this week...

7/25 Recap - Be Like Mike

Stud of the Day - Michael Young - 3/5, HR, 3 RBI - 7 pts

The rich got richer last night...All Star Chris Mathews is the current BA Leader and is now at .328 after he was the only player to pick Young this week...Unofficially he has about a 20 pt lead in BA now and if he widens the gap more this week, Week 17 could be the week that makes Mathews some $$ at the end of the year...

(Side note) - Any Rangers player would have been good last night as they had 27 hits and 20 runs...

Week 1 Recap - Wyse Guy

Week 1 (and a half) is in the books and was the longest "week" in RTTC history. I really thought though there would be a lot more inflated stats because of that, but it wasn't too bad....No weekly records were broken except for the most at bats, which is now 42, by Ty Meyer...Now for the S+Ds...

STUD OF THE WEEK - Josh Wyse

The rookie went with Paul Konerko and he was 14/35, with 3 HRs and 11 RBIs, a total of 28 pts...This is the 2nd straight year that the 1st Stud is a rookie and wins it outright...The Prince Fielder Club just missed a share of the SOTW as they finished with 27 pts....step your game up....Wyse, congrats on the $50 start to your RTTC career...(Google Pic "wyse"- Rookies, this is also a tradition here at RTTC...whoever wins the SOTW I will just enter a part of their name into Google Images and post what appears...it is quite random, and I enjoy it)

DUDS OF THE WEEK - Glenn Badenhop, Matt Badenhop

This was mentioned last monday on the update that they both picked Longoria who got hurt in the 2nd game and finished the week 0-5...tough luck...Dud runners up goes to Chris Mathews who got only 2 pts this week..rough

Average - There are 8 guys currently over .400 to start the year, I say by week 3, there will be 0. There are 10 under .200...

HRs - Sunderman with an impressive 5 HRs in the 1st week...15 guys still looking for their 1st long ball...

RBIs - 7 guys over 10 already...3 (all mentioned in the Dud section looking to get numero uno this week...

We are off and running and don't be surprised by the Tribe start...I failed to mention last week why they would make the playoffs this year:

#1 - Orlando Cabrera has mad the playoffs the last 4 years....all with different teams

#2 - The last 5 times the ground hog saw its shadow, the Tribe has made the playoffs...I can't make that up....google it...

Good Luck in week 2, get picks in by 12:35PM EST...

STUDS OF THE WEEK - Smith, Sunderman, Zgela, Brooks, TKrauss, Mathews, CJones

Huge week for these guys as they put up a record tying performance. They all went 16/27, 1 HR and 6 RBIs (Hamilton). Those 16 hits tie the most in a week of RTTC...Last who did it was Punches in Week 5 of 2009....It is the 2nd SOTW for Smith, Sunderman, Zgela, and CJones....1st of the year for Brooks, TKrauss, and Mathews...They all jumped in BA about 35-40 points each...(google pic - 7 guys)

DUD OF THE WEEK - TY MEYER

Ty My with only 3 points this week (Carter) marks the 2nd straight week he is the dud...and 3rd DUD week since week 3....Last 2 weeks he has 4 hits and has dropped a total of 27 pts down to .232...still only 5 HR behind the leader though...

Number of weeks E KRAUSS has hit better than .223 - (1) - unreal

Current Number of weeks in a row with a HR - Sunderman - (8)

WEEK 13 RESULTS - MIDSEASON REPORT

STUD OF THE WEEK - SHAWN HERLIHY

.480 4HR 8RBI....Herlihy had the highest BA, and HR this week, and that carried him to Stud of the week honors...he is at .305 19HR and 65RBI for the first half, which has him in great position in all 3 cats....His huge week in RBIs gave him his first All-Star selection...Prime candidate for Rookie of the Year...(google pic...Herl)

DUDS OF THE WEEK- TOM ZGELA, JARED BINDEL

0-6, 0HR 0RBI...The injury bug strikes again...this is the 2nd time for Zgela this year...also he is in danger of not qualifying for the BA Title...A minimum of 503 ABs is needed per RTTC Rules...3.1 ABs per game X 162 games) Despite the bad luck, ZMan and Bindel both are sitting pretty good overall, just need to avoid the injury bug.

2ND HALF PREDICTIONS...

I am going to keep it simple and go off of last years standards that were set..

.320 is what it is gonna take to win BA
40 is what it is gonna take to win HR
130 is what it is gonna take to win RBI
