WEEK 18 RESULTS

This is a week that could be the turning point of the 2009 season. We had 4 players come up with a 7 day output that may never be duplicated for a long time...Our BA leader went 1-18 and lost 13 points on his lead...what a week it was...that brings us to.....

STUDS OF THE WEEK: ZGELA, BROOKS, WHITTLESEY, HERLIHY

.448, 6HR, 10RBI...Arguably the best week in RTTC history...what makes it even bigger the top 2 HR leaders before the week started pulled this off. Brooks and JWhitt now have a commanding lead on the rest of the HR field...Herlihy is now 3rd in HR and 2nd in RBIs....Zgela just gave himself new life as he just 2HR shy of 3rd place...the 6HRs in the week is a new RTTC record....Brooks now stands at 5th place on the single season HR Record....with 8 weeks to go...4 more HRs and he is the new champ, unless JWhitt passes him....this could be a McGwire-Sosa-ish HR finish. (Google Pic- Six)

DUDS OF THE WEEK: ROSSI, KAPCAR, S. GUELDE, DAVE KRAUSS, HERNANDEZ

.056, 0HR, 0RBI....On the opposite end of the spectrum than the STUDS...these guys really struggled this week getting only 1 hit(1-18)...the biggest news of this group is that Hernandez dropped 13 points in his BA lead and is now at .336....Bindel stayed steady at .322 in 2nd place...

STAT THAT MAY ONLY AMAZE ME

There were those four STUDS that had 6 HRs this week...Zorn has had 8....ALL YEAR!!

3 UP

Leonard... .412 last 5 weeks...raised BA 37 pts in that time

Brooks 26 hits last 2 weeks...25RBI last 3 weeks

Cowan...8HR last 3 weeks....11 total, prior that

3 DOWN

KKrauss... .171 0HR - 5RBI...last 3 weeks

Josh Biederstedt... .194 1HR - 8RBI..last 5 weeks

Laymon...8RBI last 4 weeks

WEEK 13 RESULTS - MIDSEASON REPORT

STUD OF THE WEEK - SHAWN HERLIHY

.480 4HR 8RBI....Herlihy had the highest BA, and HR this week, and that carried him to Stud of the week honors...he is at .305 19HR and 65RBI for the first half, which has him in great position in all 3 cats....His huge week in RBIs gave him his first All-Star selection...Prime candidate for Rookie of the Year...(google pic...Herl)

DUDS OF THE WEEK- TOM ZGELA, JARED BINDEL

0-6, 0HR 0RBI...The injury bug strikes again...this is the 2nd time for Zgela this year...also he is in danger of not qualifying for the BA Title...A minimum of 503 ABs is needed per RTTC Rules...3.1 ABs per game X 162 games) Despite the bad luck, ZMan and Bindel both are sitting pretty good overall, just need to avoid the injury bug.

ALL-STAR SELECTIONS

Well, we are halfway done with season...time to unleash the 2009 RTTC All-Star Team...This is determined by the top 5 in each category....(the career total is in parenthesis)

B.Hernandez .355 (2nd selection)

S. Clark .316

Dave Krauss .315 (2nd selection)

K. Graven .313 (2nd selection)

C. Mathews .311

J. Whittlesey 23HR-64RBI

T. Brooks 23HR-70RBI

Jodi Biederstedt 22HR-67RBI

S. Sunderman 21HR-64RBI

E. Krauss 21HR

Tim Krauss 66RBI

S. Herlihy 65RBI

Overall 5 Rookies and 3 second-time All-Stars

2ND HALF PREDICTIONS...

I am going to keep it simple and go off of last years standards that were set..

.320 is what it is gonna take to win BA
40 is what it is gonna take to win HR
130 is what it is gonna take to win RBI

WEEK 10 RESULTS

STUDS OF THE WEEK: TY MEYER and SHAWN HERLIHY

.259, 4HR and 6RBIs...This week saw below average numbers as you can see with the studs average, but they came through with the most home runs to give them the weeks top honor. And in Ty's case he had to have set a record that will never be broken. He actually saw in person, 2HRs for his RTTC player in one day(Pujols-Sat.) So that means someone would have to see his player hit 3 in 1 game to break that record...no chance(google pic-TY-SHAWN)

DUDS OF THE WEEK: JOSH B, CLARK CARROLL, NEIL COWAN

3-24(.125) 0HR, 0RBIs....terrible week for these 3...Josh B is getting killed by his wife this year(similar to last yr)...Clark is dropping quick in BA, and Neil is only hitting better than 3 other people this yr...so, for these 3, things can only get better from here.

HOW WE STACK UP:

BA
David Wright-.364
B. Hernandez-.361

HR
Gonzalez, Pujols, Ibanez-22
Whittlesley-20
RBI
Jason Bay-61
TKrauss, Jodi B-57
