WEEK 23 RESULTS

STUDs OF THE WEEK: JODI BIEDERSTEDT, DOUG KRAUSS, RYAN JONES

Not a huge week at all for these 3, but better than the rest in a quiet RTTC week 23. Jodi now has 33HR..can she match her total of 37 last yr?? Doug is at .306, 34, 100...very capable of placing in all 3 cats.....RJ is hanging on by a thread...needs 3 huge RBI weeks to finish in the top 3

DUD OF THE WEEK: BRENT PUNCHES, MIKE MEYER

The 2 guys that are known by their one word names...Punches and Monk, each only had 1 AB this week as Pena got hurt on Monday. There line was 0-1, 0HR, 0RBI, 2 broken fingers...good work guys! Last years MVP, Punches, is not going to be able to defend his crown.

BA...Great Race here...Bindel is at .336, Hernandez is at .335..9 others over .300 fighting for 3rd..

HR..Whittlesey with 40HR now...first to reach that mark in RTTC history, will anyone else join him?

RBI..TKrauss with 127RBI...11 more than 2nd place Whittlesey...but these can be had in a hurry

WEEK 22 RESULTS

STUD OF THE WEEK...BRENT WILLIAMSON

.321, 3HR, 12RBI...Willie with a big week puts him up to 4th place in RBIs with 103..20 behind the leader TKrauss....last 2 weeks 18 RBI for him..(GOOGLE PIC...B WILLIE)

DUD OF THE WEEK... Neil Cowan, Jodi Biederstedt.

.118, 0HR, 0RBI...last years, co-HR champ Jodi B is 7 back from the leaders in HRs...so time is running out on her to defend her half of the crown...Cowan pretty much ranks out as average in all 3 categories....he would need a miracle last month to place in the top 3...

BA RACE...Bindel has finally overtaken Hernandez by 1 pt at .334-.333...Hernandez led BA since week 4

HR RACE...Brooks and Whittlesey are all tied at 38...could we have a split HR champ again this year?

RBI RACE..Tim Krauss has a commanding 10RBI lead in this one over Whittlesey...4 more and he breaks the single season record at 127

WEEK 13 RESULTS - MIDSEASON REPORT

STUD OF THE WEEK - SHAWN HERLIHY

.480 4HR 8RBI....Herlihy had the highest BA, and HR this week, and that carried him to Stud of the week honors...he is at .305 19HR and 65RBI for the first half, which has him in great position in all 3 cats....His huge week in RBIs gave him his first All-Star selection...Prime candidate for Rookie of the Year...(google pic...Herl)

DUDS OF THE WEEK- TOM ZGELA, JARED BINDEL

0-6, 0HR 0RBI...The injury bug strikes again...this is the 2nd time for Zgela this year...also he is in danger of not qualifying for the BA Title...A minimum of 503 ABs is needed per RTTC Rules...3.1 ABs per game X 162 games) Despite the bad luck, ZMan and Bindel both are sitting pretty good overall, just need to avoid the injury bug.

ALL-STAR SELECTIONS

Well, we are halfway done with season...time to unleash the 2009 RTTC All-Star Team...This is determined by the top 5 in each category....(the career total is in parenthesis)

2ND HALF PREDICTIONS...

WEEK 8 RESULTS

STUD OF THE WEEK: KYLE KRAUSS

.333-4HR-10RBI...In a somewhat average week for everyone...KK was the only one to get 4 HRs and is now only 4 behind the leader with 14. He is well ahead of his pace last yr when he hit 32 HRs. (Google Pic- KK)

DUD OF THE WEEK: DAVE KRAUSS, TIM GUELDE
2-10, 0HR-1RBI...Dave and Tim had a rough week and only got 10 ABs. This is the 2nd time DK has had an injury come up in his week, but last years batting champ is still around .315. If he keeps that up, he will be in the hunt come September. Tim hasn't found his power this year with only 4 HRs....he hit 30 last yr...he is due for a breakout week.

HOW WE STACK UP:

Batting Average:
Brandon Hernandez .378
Jason Bartlett .373
Kevin Youkilis .366

Home Runs:
Adrian Gonzalez 20
Jeremy Whittlesey 18

RBIs
Evan Longoria 55
Jodi Biederstedt 52
Jason Bay 49

WEEK 5 RESULTS

What a crazy week 5 we had. The weekly hit record was broken, the at bats record was tied, and the RBI record was broken by 3 different people. Also, 2 players got suspended, and a few more had the dreaded Monday night injury...

STUD OF THE WEEK: Troy Brooks

.379, 4HR 14RBI...Troy Boy was one of the 3 people that broke the RBI record. After this huge week, he is now tied with the league lead in HRs with 11 and 2nd in RBIs with 32. (Google Pic-Troy Boy)

Honorable Mention: I normally don't do this but had to give props to the other record breakers this week. Punches went off with 16 hits raising his average 70 points...and Jodi Bieder and Jay Persinger also ended the week with 14 RBIs, which actually doubled both of their totals for the year.

DUDS OF THE WEEK: Tom Zgela, Mike Meyer, and Sean Clark

0-3, 0HR, 0RBIs...This is what happens when the Monday injury comes into play...nothing you can do but watch

CHEATERS OF THE WEEK: Ryan Smith, and Clark Carroll

Both of these guys were suspended on Thursday for performance enhancing drugs, although by looking at them you wouldn't know...Per RTTC rules they were only required to sit out the remainder of the week and are reinstated as of today.
