Fairly quiet day yesterday as far as RTTC picks go...

Miguel Cabrera was 2/5 , HR, RBI...Tigers trying their best to keep the Indians in this ALC race...Punches only player to choose him this week

Look for Mike Stanton to be a hot pick the rest of the way..he is tied for 2nd in HRs in the NL and has only been picked in RTTC 4 times this year...

6/29 Recap - Mets Beat Miggy

Stud of the Day -

Miguel Cabrera - 2/4, 2HR, 4RBI...nice little 8 pt performance by Miggy...he was picked by 6 people this week...The Tigers have given up 30 runs to the Mets in the past 2 days...good thing they have the best pitcher in the game going today in Verlander, otherwise Miggy would need about 4 bombs...

Week 13 Preview

With only 1 week left before the RTTC All-Star selections are made, lets see who can make a push to be in the top 5, of 1 of the 3 categories and be named and all-star (which means nothing by the way)

6/22 Recap - Miggy Hits #15

Miguel Cabrera is quietly on his was to another .320 - 30HR and 120 RBIs...hard to argue against him being the best hitter in the game...He was picked 3 times this week and last night he was 2/3 with a HR and 2 RBIs...On a side note Bautista hit the MLB leading #22 last night, and he was only picked by 1 person this week - Tim Guelde...It is not too often that someone can be the lone picker for the MLB HR leader...Tim is looking to take advantage of that with abut 4 more HRs from Joey Bats...

This is the 3rd SOTW for Dan as he is becoming a legitimate threat for the RTTC triple crown...He currently sits 5th in BA, 1st in HR and 1st in RBI....He is really pulling away in the RBI category with 59....15 ahead of 2nd place....This week he posted a year high 27 points going 10/27 with 4 bombs and 13 RBI(Hamilton)...Congrats on the $25 addition to you winnings....Pic - DR3

This is the 2nd DOTW of the year for TY MY as was just 1/20 this week for 1 pt(Bautista)....That dropped his average 20 pts to .239....but he is still in the thick of the race with his 13 HRs....

Stud- Ty Meyer, Biederstedt Bunch
They both went 8/13 - 4 HR, 8 RBI (Cabrera) and went for a total of 20....This is the first SOW for both as they split the $25...On a side note, If Troy Brooks would have gotten his pick in on time , he would have been the STUD with a 21 total...get those picks in on time T-Roy..it cost ya $25 this time..

Terrible wee for Rossi as he went 1-20 (Werth-Less) for a total of 1...ouch...That is his 2nd DUD of the year...

WEEK 4 RESULTS

STUD OF THE WEEK-TODD GUELDE...Todd posted a huge score of 24, going 10-26 with 4HR and 10RBIs to get the $25 pot all to himself(thanks to A. Ethier)...he doubled his yearly total of RBIs from 10 to 20...also raised his average 48 pts to .243...congrats to TG...Google Pic - TG

DUD OF THE WEEK-LEDANIEL MANGAS...Mangas struggled this week, only collecting 3 hits and a RBI for a total of 4...although I do believe Mauer got hurt late in the week, which didn't help anything...good bnews is that he only dropped 17 points in his average down to 21st place...not too bad following a DUD week...

Week 3 Results

STUDS OF THE WEEK: Banks, Williamson, RJones, Keller, Emmons, and CJones...These 6 either picked Miguel Cabrera or Ryan Braun...either way all had very solid weeks, but not spectacular for SOTW standards...The winning number this week was 18....each week that has gone down...My guess is that this week will be one of the lowest Stud totals of the year...congrats to each of you for making your 1st earnings of the year ($4.16 each) (Google Pic - BWJKEJ) ??

DUDS OF THE WEEK: 10 players tied for this weeks dump award...including all 8 Pedroia pickers...ouch...The low this week was a 4...not too bad really...Opposite of the Stud total, the Dud total has gone up each week...Notable DUD...Prigge...he has been a back to back Dud...not good...

SEPARATION: About 37% of us were either the STUD or DUD this week...that shows how quick things can change from week to week...

On The Miggy-Wagon

Miguel Cabrera was pretty damn good when he was apparently getting hammered every other night during the season in years past...Now that he is "on the wagon" it should be interesting to see how it effects him...Worked well for him yesterday as he parked 2 HRs...

STUDS OF THE WEEK- JOE KAPCAR AND CLARK CARROLL

These two picked Miguel Cabrera who had an unreal week going for .520 3 HRs 10 RBIs. Kapcar is now closing in on 200 career hits, while I am pretty sure it took Clark about 2 months last year to get past 10 RBIs...so great starts by both

DUD OF THE WEEK- DAVID ROSSI

This will be one of the rare times this year where the DOTW will have hit a HR during his or her bad week. This shows how good everyone did this week. Rookie, Rossi went 1-17....but that 1 hit left the park, so there is a positive at least. Hope he got this dud week behind him early and can bounce back.

STAT THAT MAY ONLY AMAZE ME-

Huge WEEK 1....This may be the only time all year where we see every player get an RBI...I really do not recall this happening last year...and only 11 out of 41 players hit over .300 for the week...the long ball was big this week as only 11 players didn't hit one.
