Week 21 Recap - Despicable M. E.

STUD OF THE WEEK - MICHAEL EMMONS

Emmons went with Carlos Gonzalez this week and that paid off huge for him, as he went 13/27 with 3 HRs and 10 RBIs...(26 pts) He is pretty far back in AVG and RBIS, but he still has a shot at a top 3 finish in HRs, as now he only sits 6 HRs away from 3rd place...that would be a familiar place as that is where he finished last season...3rd in HRs...This was his 1st SOTW of the year and now he sits in 4th place in the Money Leaders with $50 (Finance Page) (Google Pic - ME)

DUDS OF THE WEEK - Curlis and Salvatore

These guys both picked Adam (not pacman) Jones this week and he only got 1 hit...at least that 1 hit got him 2 RBIs...for a total of 3 pts this week...This is the 2nd DUD for each of them and the 2nd straight week for Curlis to be in this paragraph. It is terrible timing for Curlis as he is the hunt in both HRs and RBIs...he needs a big bounce back week...

STREAKS

- Graven has at least 8 hits in 5 straight weeks...The current RBI Leader was hitting .284 prior to that...now at .304

- Salvatore has 5 or less hits in 4 straight weeks...went from .294 to now .276

- C Jones has HR'ed at least once in 14 straight weeks...at least 2 HRs in 3 straight weeks, and has an amazing 30 HRs since week 8...

-...in comparison, his son Ryan has 0 HRs in 5 straight weeks, and 4 HRs since week 8...WOW, you are due for about 5 this week

- Punches has at least 2 RBIs in every week this season, only person to do so ...yet is still 10 RBIs out of 3rd place

- D Rychener has had 2 RBIs or less in 4 straight weeks...

Week 20 Results - Timmy G Salvages Season

Stud of the Week - Tim Guelde

It has been a pretty brutal year overall for Tim G....but this week he salvaged his season with a solo SOTW performance, its his 1st of the season...Unless he can go on a HR binge, its not looking likely he will finish in the top 3 ... He is currently 11 HRs behind 3rd place right now...Congrats Tim on your $50...(Google Pic - Timmy G)

DUDS of the Week - Stout, Todd G., Finkes, T Krauss, Curlis, Holbrook, D Rychener, Roach

The early week injury struck again taking out 8 guys this week...6 of the guys picked Big Papi, who has a bad foot (don't think on the DL) and one guy picked J Kipnis, he was placed on the DL on Monday night..The other, Roach, didn't even get a pick in so he went 0-21, really hurting his BA chances...A few of those guys are in the hunt in the season ending awards, so this week was a bad blow to them.

Last 3 weeks - HOT OR NOT

BA
HOT - PRICE - 28/67 - .417 - Has gained 17 pts on his AVG and is now in 2nd place

NOT - R JONES - 10/61 - .164 - Has lost 17 pts on his AVG and is now in 42nd place

HR

HOT - PUNCHES - 8 , Now has 35, 1st place

NOT - 4 Players have 0, Notable: D Rychener has 31 HRs, still in 4th despite the drought

RBI

HOT - E KRAUSS - 22, Now has 75 on the year, good for 32nd...too little too late

NOT - D RYCHENER - 3, In 26th place with 80

Week 19 Recap - Lucky #7

STUDS OF THE WEEK - Punches, AF Sunderman, Graven, Willie, Price, Brink, Curlis

These guys all went with Justin Upton this week and he responded by going 13/27 with 3 HRs and 7 RBIs...(23 pts) This is Price and Brink's 3rd SOTW, Punches, Graven, Willie's 2nd SOTW, and the 1st for Sunday and Curlis... Punches is now tied for 1st in HRs with 33, and Graven now leads RBIs with 98...will he be the 1st to 100 this year?? Congrats you guys split the $50, $7.14 each...big bucks (Google Pic - Lucky 7)

DUDS OF THE WEEK - Brooks

Troy Boy got the shaft this week as Beltran didn't play due to an injury...so that is an obvious 0 pt week...Technically 0 pts is worse than 1 pt, but Mark Reynolds went 1-26 this week...so for that, Ty Meyer and Tim Guelde get the honorable mention Duds...

Week 24 Recap

Wow, week 24 was a record breaking week and most likely the week that caused the most separation among the leaders ever...The magical mullet is hot and has the Rockies on another September run...to the STUDS:

STUDS OF THE WEEK...Krista Krauss, Emmons, C Jones...

These 3 plus Brooks(who got his pick in late..whats new) all picked T TULOWITZKI...who just finished the best week in RTTC History...he went 9/26 with 6 HRs and 17 RBIs...The 32 overall points are a new RTTC record as well are the 17 RBIs....the 6 HRs tie a RTTC record...Jones is now 2nd in BA at 322...Emmons is now 3rd in HRs w 34, and Jones is cruising along in RBIs in 1st place w 128, up 16 in that category...now he is chasing the record books to catch Tim Krauss 136 RBIs from last year...Congrats to you 3 for splitting the $25..(PIC - TULO)

DUD OF THE WEEK...CURLIS CREW

Mike Stanton was not kind to them this week only getting 2 hits and 1 RBI...These guys have been hot or miss lately...in the last 5 weeks they now have 2 STUDS and 2 DUDS OF THE WEEK...Their best shot at top 4 finish is probably in HRs, but will about 10 in the last 2 weeks to get up there...

The Races

BA - CARROLL keeps his hot streak going and now has opened up a 14 pt lead in and may very well crush the BA record of 336..He is at 346 right now...There are 9 others over .315 battling it out for the final 3 spots...

HR - PENNINGTON is on his way to becoming the 2010 HR Champ...currently at 39...and up 4 HRs on second place....10 others have between 30-35 to battle it out for the final 3 spots as well...

RBIs - C JONES looks to be a lock in RBIs barring another 17 RBI performance from else..he is up 16 on D Rychener with 128...7 others are over 100 RBIs trying to get in the top 4 overall...

Week 21 Results

We are closing in on the last month of the season, and while I know a lot of people are gearing up for the football season to get going, there is still a lot of $$ on the line in RTTC...still 5 more SOTWs to be given out, along with the 12 season long winners....This weeks winners were....

STUDS OF THE WEEK - Sunderman, Graven, T Krauss, Keller, Pennington, Curlis

They all went w MLBs leading HR hitter (Bautista) and he came up huge for them..10/20, 4 HR, 7 RBIs...21 total...one of the lowest SOTW totals all year...This was Kellers 4th SOTW and leads the HR race w/33....This was Sundermans 3rd SOTW, Graven and TKrauss' 2nd, and Pennington and Curlis both got thier 1st of the year....Pennington stayed on Kellers trail and now has 32 HRs...(pic - 6 pack)

DUDS OF THE WEEK - Tim Guelde

Timmy G went w - Ryan Howard who sucked this week...2-25 is all he could do...Prior to this week he was about 15 pts out of 4th place in BA, but now he dropped from .299 to .288, and is 31 pts out of 4th....He is only 4 HRs out of 4th place w/24, so I expect to see some power hitters picked by him in the last month....This was his 1st DOTW
