WEEK 5 RESULTS

What a crazy week 5 we had. The weekly hit record was broken, the at bats record was tied, and the RBI record was broken by 3 different people. Also, 2 players got suspended, and a few more had the dreaded Monday night injury...

STUD OF THE WEEK: Troy Brooks

.379, 4HR 14RBI...Troy Boy was one of the 3 people that broke the RBI record. After this huge week, he is now tied with the league lead in HRs with 11 and 2nd in RBIs with 32. (Google Pic-Troy Boy)

Honorable Mention: I normally don't do this but had to give props to the other record breakers this week. Punches went off with 16 hits raising his average 70 points...and Jodi Bieder and Jay Persinger also ended the week with 14 RBIs, which actually doubled both of their totals for the year.

DUDS OF THE WEEK: Tom Zgela, Mike Meyer, and Sean Clark

0-3, 0HR, 0RBIs...This is what happens when the Monday injury comes into play...nothing you can do but watch

CHEATERS OF THE WEEK: Ryan Smith, and Clark Carroll

Both of these guys were suspended on Thursday for performance enhancing drugs, although by looking at them you wouldn't know...Per RTTC rules they were only required to sit out the remainder of the week and are reinstated as of today.

LONG GONE

Longoria is having a great week and kept it up last night in the Bronx...He went 3-5 , 2 HR , 3 RBI. Jodi B and Jay Persinger were definatley right on with thier pick this week.

MANNY BEING MANNY

As of 12pm today Manny Ramirez has been suspended 50 games for testing positive for a banned substance. So Ryan Smith and Clark Carroll, you guys can go on vacation til Monday and not miss anything..lucky picks guys!

JORGE CANNOT....CANTU

This weeks most popular pick, Jorge Cantu went 3-4 , 1 HR , 5 RBI...If you aren't one of the 5 people that picked him you are not happy...Looks like their will be some big leaps in the standings this week.

CINCO DE LIND

Yesterdays top player was Adam Lind as he went 3-4 , 1 HR , 5 RBI...that shouldn't count though because he faced the Indians pitching staff...No one picked him this week

5-4-09 POD

Last nights best performance went to Carlos Beltran..he went 2-3 , 2 HR , 4 RBI....so that means its a HUGE start to the week for Kapcar as he hits HR #8 & #9...could he hit 5 this week and tie his own record from last season?

STUD OF THE WEEK: Ty Meyer

Ty My went for .346 3HR and 6RBIs this week. Last year Ty was in the hunt for the HR Title until about week 24 or so...lets see if he can make another run this season...weeks like this won't hurt. Look for Ty to be a Dud candidate next week as he recent pattern is that he performs well every other week. (PS, the picture above is what comes up when you google TY MY, probably will be a new tradition I do for the Stud of the week.)

DUD OF THE WEEK: Todd Guelde

.091, 0 HR 0 RBIs...who cares though, he just found out that he passed the Bar Exam on Friday. Thank God you did pass it because that would have been tough calling you out as a Dud on RTTC knowing you failed your test, haha. Congrats, now I expect your business card to say RTTC Consultant, in case Selig calls and wants to shut us down.

STAT THAT MAY ONLY AMAZE ME:

Prigge is hitting .242 and has 22 RBIs

Rychener is hitting .239 and only has 8 RBIs
