Week 23 Results
And down the stretch we come....this is where the marathon turns into that last stretch and becomes a sprint....and the big winners in WEEK 23 were....
STUDS OF THE WEEK - ZGELA, PENNINGTON
Big week for these 2, as they picked Ryan Howard (10/29, 3 HR 11 RBIs - 24pts)...Zgela is getting hot as he wins his 4th SOTW and also for the 2nd straight week...in just 2 weeks he has gained 36 to his BA and is up to .309...15 pts out of 4th place...Speaking of hot...Pennington gets his 2nd SOTW in the last 3 weeks...and in the last 4 weeks he has 11 HRs and 27 RBIs...he is the season leader in HRs w 36...can he hang on for 3 more weeks?! (Pic Z-Pen)
DUDS OF THE WEEK - MANGAS, EMMONS, PRIGGE, KAPCAR, BINDEL
These 5 guys had a combined 0 hits this past week in a total of 12 at bats...some picked a player that got injured on Sunday, or just didnt get a pick in at all for whatever reason?? Makes it easier for the rest of us to win SOTW....but I do know Kapcar claims that he just had Tommy John Surgery and is out for the year....he isn't the smartest guy out there...and not the happiest as he saw the Wolverines beat his Irish Saturday..rough week Kappy
Handicapping the Races...
BA
To me I'd say if you are above .310 you have a chance at the end of year $..so that puts 13 players in contention here...with a few others close behind that mark...every year this category comes down to the last day...Also a player that is injured cannot be picked to "not lose any ground"...so let me know if you see any injured players selected from here on out...I will say the winner will finish at .325...
HR
On this one, I'd say above 26 HRs still gives you a shot at which means 20 players still alive for some $$...also going to go out on a limb and say Pennington cashes in even if he hits 0 HRs the rest of the way....final HR leader #...I'm going with 40
RBI
The last category..I'd say anyone above 85 right now can get finish in the top 4...every few weeks in seems there is a 10+ RBI week by someone...its easy to make ground up in this one...Winner will have....lets go with 120...

Week 22 Recap
STUDS OF THE WEEK - EKrauss, Zgela, Burger, Carroll, Zeitz, DRychener, Emmons, CJones, Curlis
9 Studs of the week, thanks to CarGo...(15 hits, 2 HRs, 5 RBI- 22pts) 9 Studs in 1 week is the most of all time..Studs of note...This was EKrauss and Zeitz 1st SOTW of the year....Carl Jones league leading 5th of the year and the Curlis Crew get it for the 2nd straight week... Take a look at the top 3 in BA now...what a bump from CarGo...Congrats on your $2.77..(A side note...next year the weekly pot will be $50 to try and help avoid small pots like this, and the entry fee will remain $60...) (pic - 9er)
DUDS OF THE WEEK - Aww Sunderman, W Rychener
Both of these guys got 2 hits, sharing the dud honors....This is Sundermans 2nd, and Wade's 3rd of the year...Sunderman has a shot at the HR title still, but thats about it...Wade is having a solid season all the way across the board, but highly doubt he cracks the top 4 in any category at this point...but still 4 weeks to get hot...
RTTC Records Going Down??
We have 6 season long records we keep...lets see which ones may go down in 2010...
Hits record - 200
Kyle Krauss is on pace for 212..don't choke KK..could be 2nd RTTCer to go over 200 in a season...
At Bats Record - 660
Kyle leads this as well and is on pace for 658...
HR Record - 43
Pennington and Keller are on pace for 39...seems unlikely it falls...
RBI Record - 136
Carl Jones is on pace for 128...also seems unlikely...
Batting Avg Record - .336
C Carroll is currently at .340 with 3 others over .330...could be a close finish here...
